MUEC 2010 calling all budding social entrepreneurs!

It's time to consider participating in Melbourne University Entrepreneurship Challenge (MUEC) 2010 and the Social Entrepreneurship stream. MUEC is a business plan competition, where participants attend workshops, lectures and work with a mentor to refine your business idea and write a business plan. The new Social Entrepreneurship stream, presented by Net Impact, offers you the same exciting program, but pairs your team up with a social entrepreneur instead. Speaker in the Social Entrepreneurship track includes Kevin Robbie from SVA, Roger Pitt from KADAC and Rebecca Scott from StrEAT.
Participants in the Social Entrepreneurship stream must demonstrate SROI (social return on investment) in their business plan to be eligible for Social Entrepreneurship prize of $6,000 in cash and other in-kind services. The Winner of this prize is also eligible for the Grand Prize, which means a team could potentially clean sweep the competition and win $12,000 in cash!
If you're interested in participating, don't miss the MUEC Launch Party on February 23, 6:30 pm at the MBS Gadsden Dining Hall. Professor Ian Williamson, Chair of the Asia-Pacific Center for Leadership for Social Impact, will be delivering an address. All participants must register here.
