“Beware of the Start-up virus"

Do you ever feel like you speak a language others don’t understand?
Do you ever stay awake at night dreaming up big ideas?
Do you ever feel a burning excitement at the thought of starting your own business?

These are just a few symptoms of the highly contagious ‘Start-up Virus’ which have recently hit universities around the country! It’s a bug that can be treated, but never cured. Once you’ve caught it, it lives in you forever.

It’s the bug of Entrepreneurship.

So, what does it mean to be an entrepreneur? Does it mean I have to be a Richard Branson?

No, it means you have to be like a Richard Branson. What does that mean?

Easy, all you have to do is have an idea – often a simple idea – and have the courage and the confidence to execute that idea. Easier said than done right?

Wrong, doing is the first and hardest step you’ll ever make – but once you’ve made it – the rest is history.

Start-up camp 2010 can be that first step!

We are bringing together of a whole bunch of passionate people interested in web-based businesses, then going about creating them - concept to launch and everything in between - in one weekend! It's a lot of fun, one hell of an experience, and free.

Be warned, it’s not merely an idea that you are coming up with. We're talking a complete web-based business, live to the public come Sunday. The most recent Start-up Camp in Sydney saw multiple start-ups valued at upwards of $4,000 US! Web hosting is provided free of charge for the weekend and shortly thereafter.

Teams need:
- People to create the website...Programmers, programmers, programmers!
- Web designers, marketing gurus or any creative mind – to design and brand the business
- Business minds for the details
- More info on team structure...

IMPORTANT: Selection process
The camp is strictly limited to 30 participants
We'll select people base on how we would select co-fournders in a real startup
So please tell us (in the registration form) the skills you can bring to the team and why you should be part of it!

Please note: this event is only open to current university students, who must be available for the whole weekend.
