There's been much mention of MUEC on this site and in our member newsletters in recent weeks; most notably we've said that the $1K Competition (which closes tomorrow) is preparation for MUEC, the "real thing".

MUEC is the Melbourne University Entrepreneurs Challenge, a business plan competition organised by postgrad students from Melbourne Business School that has been running for almost a decade now. After years of the competition being dominated by MBA students, the 2007-08 competition saw the introduction of an undergraduates division for the first time. 15 undergrad teams entered the preliminary round of MUEC in September ’07, and one undergrad team, Nudge, even made it to the finals of the open competition in May the following year.

So for anyone thinking of entering MUEC, the $1K Competition is an invaluable opportunity to get feedback (not to mention prizemoney) to give you a head start into the big guns! Submissions due 5pm tomorrow. Details here. No excuses!
